Flag Design Workshop
The Flag Design Workshop - What kind of visual rhetoric best represents your community? Participants in this workshop learn the history of queer pride flags and are introduced to design principles that lead them to the creation of their own personal flag. This workshop challenges participants to learn new creative skills and explore conceptual techniques via design exercises. Each participant constructs and brings home their own ready-to-display flag or collaborates with group members to design a flag representing their community. The Flag Design workshop builds on design principles laid out by the North American Vexillological Society and radio host Roman Mars.
